2012 Guerrilla Gaming

If you look at my collection of stuff, you'll see a great number of video games. That might lead you to believe that I spend a great deal of time playing video games. A great misconception. My folly is that I spend a great deal of money on video games but my time has been too precious for the hobby.

I have a lot of excuses for my collection of incomplete games. It ranges from difficulty spikes to a loss of interest to the fact that sometimes I just buy crappy games by accident (or sometimes on purpose). But I feel like I cannot hide behind these excuses any longer.

I truly love gaming. Video games take you to a world you cannot possibly experience in your every day life. Stories are, at times, epic and sweeping. At other times, pointless but funny. Video games provide for a common experience that you can share with friends.

So, to rectify my decade and a half long on-going mistake, I decided to guerrilla game in 2012. This means that I will do whatever it takes to complete games. I'll play games on easy, use guides, skip side quests, forget about the 27 different endings I could get and whatever else is necessary to see the end credits.

It starts here and it starts now. I'll continue to update this list throughout the year and we'll see how I do by the end of the year.
  1. Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time (NDS, Jan 01, 4/5)
  2. Ghost Trick (NDS, Jan 06, 5/5)
  3. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii, Jan 24, 3/5)
  4. Portal 2 (PC, Jan 26, 3/5)
  5. Patapon 2 (PSP, Feb 15, 4/5)
