Don't Love If You're A Spy

The life of a spy is pretty damn awesome. That's probably the reason I fell in love with Alias when it came out. It had just the right amount of drama, action and sexiness following Jennifer Garner as she came back to destroy SD6, the organization that she had worked for.

It's similarities to Alias is probably why I liked IRIS, a Korean drama. Although the lead was a male, Hyun-Jun also came back to exact revenge against NSS, the organization he formerly worked for, because they killed the love of his life.

Now there's a remake of La Femme Nikita and once again the similarities to Alias are plenty. There's a sexy female lead that is often found in bikinis, lingerie and revealing dresses. Her organization killed the love of her life; and his name is Daniel as well. (Sydney's beau in Alias was named Daniel Hecht.)

I'll give any show with a hot female lead a shot. But it even has Shane West from Walk To Remember, my guiltiest pleasure. I look forward to see what they can do with this franchise.

  1. I wanted to like this, after watching bits and pieces of the 1990s Peta Wilson version, but it almost looks too slick. Shiny, bloodless, impossibly coiffed, gunmetal-and-chrome; kind of like a revenge-driven Bond without the humour and corny names. So far she's not selling me as a lead character but I will allow she's gorgeous. XD

I downloaded the first episode last night. I'll let you know what I think after I've found some time to watch it.
