It's a shock to me how important audio fidelity is to me. Obviously, if I had the choice between high and low fidelity, I would pick a high fidelity source; but I didn't know it went to the point where it affected whether I liked music or not. I watched Moon Ji Eun's new track Hibiye Hibiyo and thought nothing of it.
And then I watched her live performance and fell in love with the song.
In all respects, I feel I should like the music video more. It has more legs, more thrusting and an $80k body suit. But I just couldn't get over the fact that it sounded dull, whereas the live performance the bass was full and the music was clear and crisp. Maybe I shouldn't feel guilty about wanting to buy new headphones.
You should hear Gee on my new headphones. The song sounds twice as fun as it does with generic headphones. My quality of life went up one point when I got good head phones.
ReplyDeleteIf you do a lot of any one thing then get the quality accessories to enjoy what you're doing. I photoshop pics for hours every week... thus extra large computer monitor. I listen to music every day... thus hi-fi head phones.
