How come whenever someone says, "I just saw Avatar," it seems like the natural response is, "In 3-D?" There is only one theatre in Edmonton that even has the option of watching it in 2-D. Even then, North Edmonton Common has two showings in 2-D compared to the seven showings in 3-D.
I guess my natural reaction to "In 3-D?" should be, "Who watches a 3-D movie in 2-D?" You think James Cameron spent $200 million to get Sam Worthington to break his own legs?
My natural response is "In IMAX? Did you puke?".
ReplyDeleteIn terms of 2-D-ness... I think someone can be scammed into seeing it if they don't read carefully. At the theatre we go to, there is small print differenciating 3D and 2D. If you go and see "Avatar" and just pick a time, you could find yourself in a 2D theatre!
ReplyDeleteBut how many showings are in 2-D compared to how many showings are in 3-D?
ReplyDeleteBut a hint for you, if you're going to a 3-D movie and the ticket is normal price, you didn't just find a deal. You just paid for a 2-D showing. Refund immediately!
