A lot of people have been asking me about my trip to Vancouver. I think the most prominent thing I remember about Vancouver, aside from the Koreans, is captured in these two pictures.
It gets worse. A few blocks down the street from that location there are 3 Starbucks located within less than 2 blocks. Two are on street corners (Robson and Denman, Robson and Bidwell) and one more between them inside a Safeway (Robson between Denman and Bidwell).
I'm fairly certain that we have this very same WTF scenario here in Edmonton.

ReplyDeleteIt was rainy over the weekend that I arrived. It lasted until Tuesday. Then it was sunny skies until I left ... to arrive for a snow storm.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to note, the "street" that you had to cross is closed off to car traffic.. so it's basically one large sidewalk...
